Important changes to the workers compensation laws came into effect on 1 January 2018, and affect injury management co-ordinators. See all information on the changes here

Injury management co-ordinators:

  • ensure the injury management process runs smoothly
  • co-ordinate and oversee the entire process, including medical treatment, return to work, and all aspects of return to work plans and injury management plans
  • is to be appointed where a workers has sustained a significant injury (one that requires, or is likely to require, the worker to have 5 days or more of total or partial incapacity)
