The Tasmanian Government appointed Mr Alan Clayton to undertake a review of certain aspects of the Tasmanian Workers Compensation Scheme. Mr Clayton's report dated September 2007 contained 19 recommendations.
The WorkCover Tasmania Board requested that Bateup Actuarial and Consulting Services Pty Ltd estimate the cost of the recommendations contained in the Clayton report. The WorkCover Board also requested costings of four packages which were slight alternatives to the Clayton recommendations. Both of these actuarial reports are published here to allow stakeholders more complete information regarding the financial impact of Mr Clayton’s recommendations.
