Using MDGuidelines
WorkCover Tasmania recognises that in order to overcome the barriers of return to work, it is important to have a maximised understanding of the recovery timeframes for particular conditions, restrictions and accommodations related to the diagnosis.
MDGuidelines is an evidence-based disability database, available through Reed Group, that offers up to date, evidence-based information for optimising return to work outcomes. MDGuidelines provides information on many diseases and injuries that can help you to predict the likely duration of a worker’s disability and the timeframes in which they can return to work.
WorkCover Tasmania is giving access to individuals (such as medical practitioners, workplace rehabilitation providers, injury management coordinators and return to work coordinators) who play a role in returning injured workers to work (under the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988) free of charge until 31 January 2013. Ongoing access will be reviewed at the end of 2012.
